Paul is a Graduate of Trinity College Dublin, and qualified as a Solicitor in 1982. On qualification he was awarded the Findlater Scholarship by the Law Society of Ireland in recognition of the best performance on the Professional Practice Course Examinations. Paul has been a Partner in the practice since 1984.  He is the great-grandson of the founder of the firm.

Paul practices principally in the areas of Probate, Conveyancing, including Landlord and Tenant Law and Litigation.

As a conveyancer, Paul handles both residential and commercial property transactions.  He has developed a particular interest in the area of Landlord and Tenant Law including the drafting of commercial leases.

Paul has a particular interest in the area of medical and professional negligence, but has also practiced extensively in the areas of personal injuries litigation generally. He has represented clients in the Circuit Court, High Court (including Central Criminal Court) and the Supreme Court in Chancery, Criminal, Judicial Review and Personal Injury cases.

Paul has extensive experience in Probate matters, including the provision of taxation advice. He is a Member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and is a former member of the Taxation Committee of the Law Society. He has tutored and lectured in the areas of administration of estates and tax planning. As a Probate Lawyer he has extensive experience in the drafting of Wills, the Administration of Estates, Tax Planning and litigation arising from the administration of estates.
